What Our Attendees Say
Recently I attended one of Phil’s training seminars for lead reactivity. Throughout the day, we participated in various exercises, which reflected real-life scenarios and were given strategies on how to respond in these situations. This was beneficial, as it enabled Charlie to come into contact with a range of other dogs with various reactivity issues, however, enough space was given to ensure everyone remained comfortable. Despite being quite nervous initially, Phil’s calm approach and continuous encouragement, motivated me to persist with each exercise and gradually increased my confidence. Phil gave clear demonstrations and ensured that there was plenty of opportunities for him to answer any questions, thus exhibiting his extensive knowledge.
We did a combination of working as a group and with one other dog. Phil identified any mistakes I was making and was able to suggest alternative approaches and techniques, which I am able to continue to work on each day.
By the end of the session, Charlie was able to maintain focus on me, despite the distraction of having nine other lead reactive dogs present! I also feel much more confident and reassured after meeting other people with similar issues.
We would absolutely recommend Phil to anyone who is experiencing dog behavioural issues or who may require general training, both one-to-one and on seminar days.
My dad and I attended the reactive dog seminar yesterday with our dog jasper and felt very relaxed as everyone was there for the same reason with their dogs.
Phil taught everyone hands on techniques for dealing with their reactive dogs.
He allowed us to put into practice the techniques he taught in real life situations and progress was made in that one seminar for many dog owners.
I highly recommend Phil for any owners who are struggling with a reactive dog as you will not be disappointed by the advice and hands on training given to help you help your dog.
The seminar was geared for all dog owners from beginners and upwards. We met lovely people at the seminar and it was great to be able to mix with others and talk about our dogs.
The refreshments were delicious and my dad and I will be going to the next one to enjoy or rather show off, our continuing progress with Jasper.
Attending a group dog training day would have been our worst nightmare with our 2 year old Boston Terrier Crumpet, but after meeting with Phil for 2 training sessions prior to the group session we had total confidence in Phils ability to have complete control over the day.
I was so proud of how well Crumpet did sharing a space with 9 other dogs. It was a great learning experience for all the dogs and the owners and seeing how they developed and relaxed through the day was a really positive experience.
We can’t thank Phil enough. I was itching to play Slipknot on full whack from my big yellow banana as we drove away but I resisted the temptation.

Bear the puppy, a Cane Corso, we are really looking forward to working with them both again soon

We sought advice from Phil to help us to bring on our young dog. Phil provided us with information and techniques which have helped us to train Freddie to become the friendly, well rounded and lovely dog that he is.
